Map of North America – Part II
Hello,
Below is a video lesson along with printable works.
Notes: (1) Continue presenting other countries of North America. (2) Please keep in mind that in order to learn all the letters well, your child should practice daily, using different techniques or games. (3) This week you may work with initial sounds of continents and countries of North America. (Phonetic initial and last sounds like: n-North America, s-South America, a-Africa, m-Mexico, g-Greenland and Guatemala, c-Canada, p-Panama…). (4)In Montessori we highly recommend to please avoid the following: (a) Letters should not have lines, dots, or any other marks; they are a distraction, since the child takes in the entirety of what he sees as the letter. (b) Do not use worksheets for tracing or copying letters; they depend only on the visual discrimination in opposition to the use of the muscular memory which is the key to help the child create the letter (when tracing it in the different ways we have suggested).
